Paul Casey practices exclusively in the criminal courts, prosecuting and defending in the following areas:

- Homicide and serious violence

- Proactive investigations into organised crime, specifically relating to firearms, class A drugs and associated modern slavery offences

- Serious sexual offending, including complex historic allegations made against multiple defendants working in public institutions

- Counter-Terrorism investigations

Paul is a level 4 CPS advocate and a member of their Serious Crime, RASSO and Counter-Terrorism panels. He is frequently instructed as leading counsel and regularly appears in matters involving young or vulnerable witnesses and defendants.

Since 2021 Paul has focused on prosecuting for CPS Homicide in the London area as leading, junior and sole counsel in cases of murder, attempted murder and road traffic related deaths, often involving trials lasting for a number of months.
