Fenn Van den Brande


Fenn Van den Brande is currently a Second Six Pupil at 2 Harcourt Buildings and is accepting instructions to prosecute and defend in all areas of criminal law. He is available for hearings in both the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts.


Fenn is under the supervision of James Caldwell, having completed his First Six Pupillage under the supervision of Nick Alexander. He has observed a wide range of serious and challenging criminal cases and is now building his own busy practice as a confident and capable junior advocate. He has already been involved in several complex interlocutory matters concerning serious violence, weapons and the importation and supply of drugs. Fenn is Grade 1 on the CPS Advocate Panel.


Fenn is developing his skills across all areas of Chambers’ criminal work and is noted for his preparation, analytical ability and courtroom presence. His measured style of advocacy and personable approach makes him popular with professional and lay clients alike. He brings with him varied experience gained from a background in politics and as a paralegal in a leading criminal defence firm.
